My good friend forwarded this video to me, and as I sit to open my National Association of Professional Women‘s 2011/2012 membership approval letter, I felt that it would be appropriate to share. I finally got accepted into the NAPW after trying for the past 2 years!!! It really does feel good to be recognized for all your hard work. I have been working 18-20 hour days consistently over the past 2 years just hoping for a chance to get noticed and/or to get people to know who I am in the music industry of Chicago….only so that I can help the industry become what it should be here in the Midwest. Only 3 websites actually talked about this subject and not one of them were in Chicago! After attending the Chicago Music Awards last Sunday at Excalibur, I am so found of many women that have set goals and over achieved them.

So I have decided to conduct a survey to see who you think is the top 10 women leaders in the Chicago music industry? I will reveal the results in a later post. Come on Chicago let’s get on the map!
