Kim Shine graduated in 2010 with a B.A. in Broadcasting and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University. She is a published journalist and has written for the Northwest Indiana Times and the Grand Valley Lanthorn. As a publicist, she has helped promote up-and-coming Chicago artists and music makers. Her efforts have secured artists placements on television, radio, print and online. The WGN Morning News, Radio DePaul and UIC Radio, Red Eye Chicago, Music Is Life Magazine, and “On That Noise” blog are a few of her credits. Introduced to music through piano and dance as child, Kim is also an aspiring songwriter. She is currently working in public relations and is excited to join, and help build, the Chicago Hip Hop Connects team.
